Easy Backlinks Experiment – Update 7

Hi guys,
You will see from the results below that the test blog is still leaking links, in fact there is only three platforms that have any links left, two of them, Magic Article Submitter and Bookmarking Demon 5 are paid tools and the last, Free Traffic System is a freebie.
Bookmarking Demon 5 however seems to be bucking the trend slightly by getting two new links indexed.
There is still a month left to run on the experiment yet, so I don’t want to draw any conclusions, but it is starting to look as though the only way to maintain links from these free or low cost tools is to submit your url’s over and over again. Not really what I was looking for in my ‘set-it-and-forget-it’ utopian dream, but because the tools are so quick and easy to use then it isn’t a great hardship either.
Have a look at the results table, and as always if you know of a no-cost or low-cost backlink tool you would like me to add to the experiment than just leave a comment below.

Are the columns unique for each week or cumulative? Does IMAutomater now have 3 back links but none the last 2 weeks or did it give you one that stuck around for a couple weeks and then disappeared?
If they are cumulative then none of these tools help you in the long term…as soon as the links leak so does the link juice…
I would like to see bookmarking wiz in the experiment.

I’ve been following your progress through these experiments and they certainly are interesting. Have you looked at whether or not he links you’ve gotten in the beginning from MAS and FTS have dropped off? If the link do not stick does that mean you have to continue submitting to them.
Also, have thought about adding profile links to the mix? There’s been so much buzz and seems like lots of people are doing it including me but I’ve always wondered how effective they were.

It certainly looks like grabbing links and making them stick is not as simple as submitting and then forgetting it. I think that to stop the links being de-indexed than it is probably worthwhile linking back to the links. This will also have the benefit of adding link juice.
I do have some profile software which I will add to the experiment. I am playing catchup at the moment, but I’ll sort it aou ASAP.
