Easy Backlinks Experiment – Update 1

Easy backlinks experiment updateI just wanted to post the first weeks results for my easy backlinking experiment and also to mention the site which is part of the experient, but I accidentaly omited from my post!

The site is called Free Site Scripts and as the name suggests it is a collection of free scripts which offer various functions and tools for us webmasters.

The script we are interested in is the site submitter. You add your url into the box and click ‘Submit Query’ . That will post your url to 100 sites.  When that is completed you go to page two and do it again, that submits your url to another 100 sites.  You carry on in the same way through eight submission pages which will, in theory, give you around 730 backlinks.

Anyway, onto the results.

Backlinks Experiment

Linkwheel

Let’s face it, if we bought all of the tools that were available to create backlinks for our sites we would a) run out of money pretty quickly and b) spend that much time operating the various packages that we would have no time at all left to build new sites and create our Internet Marketing Empire!

So I decided to run a little experiment to discover if all that time was indeed time well spent.

My aim is to run various backlinking tools and then simply count up the links that each tool generates.

I’ve set-up a fresh blog on a new domain which wasn’t previously indexed and has no links pointing towards it.

I’m not going to reveal the name of the blog as any links created by you guys would throw off the results.

Next I set up a new page for each of the platforms and submitted the relevant post URL to that platform.

To make the results relevant I have limited the experiment to no-cost or low cost platforms only.

They are:

Which is the best spinner?

I posted a few days ago about the Free Traffic System, and how it will post your spun article to 30 blogs potentially gaining you many relevant backlinks.

But to use this system you need to actually spin your article.

For those of you who don’t know what spinning an article is here is a brief overview…

Article Spinning is the process in which a copywriter or a website owner creates a new article out of an existing article by rewriting it. Typically words and phrases are substituted to put a new spin on the article.

There is software available that can do this automatically, producing tens or even hundreds of articles from a single document. But I find that they often produce gobbledygook. Read the rest of this entry »

How to get free in-text backlinks

Backlinks, the lifeblood of all websites, are not all created equal. In the eyes of google some backlinks are ‘more valuable’ than others.  For instance, backlinks from bookmarking pages don’t carry the same weight as links from a PR5 website. Sidebar links are not as meaty as an in-text link, and so on.

So ideally when you are looking for link placement you want it in-text and preferably on a high PR website or blog.

Finding a high PR blog, with Do-follow isn’t that difficult using software like Fast Blog Finder, but  persuading the blog master to place your link into the body of his post can be challenging.

For this reason there are services like Article Underground, which essentially provide pre-written content for blog authors which already have your back link embedded into the body of text.  And the service is brilliant. A single AU link can make the difference between having your site  doomed to page two of Google’s listings and basking in the glory of page one. But… Read the rest of this entry »
