Do You Outsource Article Marketing?

Mark Hansen posed an interesting question on his blog The Niche Store Builder on Friday.  He asked “How Do You Outsource Article Marketing to Increase Website Traffic?”

Now this is something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently.  At the moment my article marketing consists of either spinning up some PLR, writing an article myself or outsourcing to Textbroker.

Then I post spun up copies to:

  • Free Traffic System
  • Ezinearticle
  • 2 other top article directories
  • Magic Article Submitter
  • My own private blog network
  • My web 2.0 network.

Here is a list of the top 25 article directories you can post to:

Make sure that if you are going to outsource article marketing that your VPA includes these directories in his/her portfolio of directories.

I can’t complain about the results, most of these outlets give me good backlinks, which tend to stick (see my posts about the easy backlinks experiment if you are unsure what this means.)

But… The amount of time it takes to complete these steps for even a single article is just plain silly, and it’s time that could be better spent building sites or a product or, or, or… Well, there are a thousand things I would rather be doing that messing about with article promotion.

So, I’ll ask the same question that Mark has asked “How Do You Outsource Article Marketing to Increase Website Traffic?

If you outsource article marketing then please tell us about it.  You can leave a comment here at Netbenefits or over at Marks blog .

And while you are over there I suggest bookmarking his site or add the feed to your google reader acount.

So how do YOU outsource article marketing?

Every 3 seconds, a lonely blog commits suicide

Suicidal BlogOkay, maybe that’s a slight exageration, but just look around, blogs are sloping off, into long forgotten, dark corners of the web and just fading out of existence at an astronomicalrate. Henceforth we can refer to these as Suicidal Blogs!

Why?

Well, lets’s face it, blog writers (me included) are fickle, all we care about is becoming popular (and rich :-)   ).

If the blog they write doesn’t reap traffic in the the way they expect it to, they tend to neglect it, sometimes to the point it can’t Read the rest of this entry »

Using articles from your site on EzineArticles

There has been a lot of confusion about using the content from your own website and posting it as a fresh article on EzineArticles.  Many believed thatEA would consider this as derivative content, which of course, EA doesn’t allow.

I’ve maintained for a long time that using your own unique content is NOT in contradiction to EA rules.  By this I mean that you can post an article onto your own site, make sure that it is indexed in Google, and then post exactly the same article onto EA.

Now, Christopher Knight the CEO of EzineArticles has posted a video confirming this.

Have a look as he clears up some common misconceptions about what qualifies as “derivative content”.

Free PLR Management System

PLR Dashboard

If you’re anything like me than you have hundreds, or more likely thousands of random PLR articles scattered about your hard drives.  I would be willing to bet that you even have complete collections that you never got around to unzipping.

So what do you intend to do with them?  They are not much use to you if you don’t know where they all are, or even what they all are.

I pondered this question for ages and even though about setting up a database of all articles and adding tags so I could sort them and search for items suitable for particular niches. But, to be honest, that seemed like far too much trouble. So I started hunting round the Internet for a piece of software that would do that for me. Read the rest of this entry »

Which is the best spinner?

I posted a few days ago about the Free Traffic System, and how it will post your spun article to 30 blogs potentially gaining you many relevant backlinks.

But to use this system you need to actually spin your article.

For those of you who don’t know what spinning an article is here is a brief overview…

Article Spinning is the process in which a copywriter or a website owner creates a new article out of an existing article by rewriting it. Typically words and phrases are substituted to put a new spin on the article.

There is software available that can do this automatically, producing tens or even hundreds of articles from a single document. But I find that they often produce gobbledygook. Read the rest of this entry »

Many thanks to Soggy over at Build a niche store blog

As Soggy says in his post, don’t overdo it with any type of backlinking strategy.  Spread your links across articles, videos, blogs, forums and web 2.0 sites.  You need it to look natural.  I have noticed that Bing seems particularly suspicious of agressive backlinking.
